Okay it's finished. It almost killed me but I finally finished him. Why do I have to pick the hardest angles to draw this man's face. As if it wasn't already hard enough to capture Hamill just right, I've got to go and make matters worse by choosing an odd angle.

This one brought me close to tears as I had to redraw his mouth several times. I came very close to just binning him and throwing my hands up in the air. I have to throw a big thanks out to Michiru for giving me some sound advise. Taking a break from this illustration saved it from being torn up and chucked. I am not entirely happy with it as I know where every mistake is. They scream out at me and it is very hard, as a profectionist, not to continue trying to tweak it and make it look better. The one thing I really like about this drawing is the rip in his sleeve. That turned out better then I had hoped.

This is one of those pictures that I am always going to crindge at whenever I look at it.:shrug: Oh well.
Do enjoy all my mistakes while I hide somewhere and die of imbarrassment. X_X

Wow! This is amazing! His eyes are the best part, wow. It's so incredibly realistically drawn and the composition is great... makes me curious. Yes, wow, fantastic!

You've got the shading down! The hair and eyes look awesome, so do the tears. Everything about it looks very real

Mistakes? What mistakes? I don't see any! It looks perfect to me! (Your art always does!) You really are way too hard on yourself!

Wow, if I could draw as well and realistic as you do, it would be the apocalypse. Great job! The eyes really draw the attention. The expression is captivating. :)

Guess what this earned from me??

I happen to like this one much better than the other two. I mean it's cute to see Luke from New Hope, and he's pretty brooding in his Empire outfit, but I really like this one.

You also know that I would never favorite something 'just because', so if anything, that should say something.

I've just been wait for you to do a piece that really sucks me in. I think this is the one. I dont know if it's the moment you captured, or the blending on the graphite, or maybe that the background is also amazingly shaded, but this image really does it for me.

It's his eyes. I've decided. Ater looking at it for a while. And that right eyebrow.

Oh my God shall I point out the mistakes? Let me see, well first off there is his mouth, I just noticed that his bottom teeth are too straight for the curve of his mouth. His left eye is shaded too dark and makes him look like he has a really bad shiner. Then there's the tears, they don't look as real as I'd like them to look. I also didn't finish out the shading on his arm and hand. And the list goes on from there. I really want to go fix it all, but if I do I may make it look worse than it already looks.

My husband had to stop me from continuing. I kid you not,:no: he actually threatened me to leave it alone or he wouldn't help me post it with the contest compilation for the Luke Skywalker club ID contest.

I tell you, you've got your mom and I've got my husband, breathing down my neck.:O_o:

Okay now why, of all the drawings I have up, did you grab this one up?:O_o: It sucks! :bleh: Okay I may be over dramatizing it but really I see every teeny tiny mistake and it is driving me insane. This morning I was very happy with it, but the more I look at it the more I just want to cry right along with Luke. I should have done it better. I just can't, and I know I'm obsessing again, but I can't stand to look at the mistakes. I think I may go back and lighten the shadowing on his left eye, so he doesn't look like he's got a shinner on it. I do like his hair and the little rip in his sleeve but other than that. . .
I could just shot myself for even posting it.:slamhead:
